Accused terrorist found guilty in New Bern court

"A 33-year-old accused Muslim terrorist was found guilty by a jury Thursday in U.S. District Court in New Bern for his part in a terrorist plot dating from November 2006 through July 2009.

Anes Subasic is the seventh and final individual to be convicted in connection with the multi-year conspiracy to kill persons abroad and provide material support to terrorism.
Subasic faces up to 15 years in federal prison for the conspiracy charge and up to life in prison for the conspiracy to maim, kidnap and murder people in a foreign land.
Daniel Boyd, said to be the ringleader of the group, pleaded guilty to conspiring to provide material support to terrorists and murder and kidnapping of foreigners abroad. He has not been sentenced.
His two sons, Dylan Boyd and Zakariya Boyd, pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges. Dylan Boyd was sentenced to 96 months in prison and Zakariya Boyd was sentenced to 106 months in prison.
Three other Muslims were found guilty in New Bern’s federal court in October 2011. Sentences ranged from 540 months, 380 months and 180 months in prison.
