Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

The Occupy Eugene Library Committee and new  Pulling Heater Theater street theatre group are Presenting a Play:

“The Trial of Prometheus”

When and Where: Saturday,  December 22, 2012 from 4pm to 6pm at Cozmic Pizza at 199 W. 8th St.

Following the performance will be a a Lighted Lantern March to Washington Jefferson Park for story telling and other activities commemorating the Occupy Eugene events at Solstice last year at WJP.

FREE! Donations accepted for SLEEPS (http://eugenesleeps.org/)

The play is a musical (live music) and is an adaptation of a Greek tale about the Titan, Prometheus, who steals fire from Zeus to give to human beings and who is severely punished. The play is written by Scotty Perey, who also plays the role Zeus. Many of our other beloved Occupiers also have roles including Derek Lewis as Prometheus and there are many more familiar faces!  There is spoken word by Argus and Plaedo too.  You won't want to miss this creative activism, creative educational and creative outlet event!

The performance is FREE but donations will be accepted for SLEEPS (Safe and Legally Entitled Emergency Places to Sleep) who are the folks who  have been working hard to convince city and county officials to lift the camping ban within city limits among other needed changes to laws that would essentially legalize survival for those Eugene citizens among us who are living on the streets.
