Haitian activist Pierre Labossiere, Co-Founder of the Haiti Action Committee (www.haitisolidarity.net) and long-time advocate and supporter of former Pres. Jean-Bertrand Aristide and Fanmi Lavalas, the party of the Haitian majority.
Aimee Riechel – Social Studies teacher at Mission High School – is one of the first teachers in the San Francisco Unified School District to pilot an Ethnic Studies Program for ninth grade students. Aimee began teaching about the Haitian Revolution in her classes five years ago after the earthquake, and organized a Haiti Solidarity Club to build student support for the grassroots movement in Haiti. She has been to Haiti three times, twice taking student delegations.
Ruth Beyene – senior student at Mission High School -- is originally from Eritrea. She has visited Haiti twice, and is a founding member of the Haiti Solidarity Club at Mission High School.
