Handy says ethics allegation a smear An attorney complains that the commissioner improperly solicited funds to pay legal fees

LCCRG.org:  "It really never really looked that Handy had a chance at winning this race over Farr in the first place. These allegations certainly haven't help Handy any, it just means handy will now lose by a bigger margin. Now Handy will have an excuse for his loss.
It is hopeful thinking, and damage control on Handy's part to think he will be exonerated from these damaging allegations. It seems as though Handy not all that long ago was in trouble telling the public he had done nothing wrong, he was not exonerated from those allegations. Doubtful he will just walk away from these either."
